If you mean no talking, I did.
If you mean no loudness or mostly any sounds at all, I did, too.
If you mean no internal dialog, I did, too.
If you mean all and just staring, I did, too.
And every body should try all of them at least once. For long time spans. In differents places and situations.
And if you can have you home silent, you will thanks, whather you are doing one of these or not. Or even if you are going something very noisy, being the most noisy thing.
You get to love it, you get to love both the silence or whatever you do in contrast (music, tv, talking, company, animal, etc.. ).
And if at some point you lose it, you miss it too. I hate when our tv crosses the line between “I’m watching, listen or staring at it while I think” and “Why the hell can turn it off? She’s been there for 6 hours and they are the same every day voices I get to hate!”
I dream often (not every night). My dreams are not the kind of “dreams” or “nightmares”, just situations, scenes and different things. Most of my dreams are at some point lucid, the level of control changes between nights or the dream itself. I sometimes experience what people calls “lucid dream”.
Mostly happens before dawn, when begin leaving full sleeping and preparing to wake up, the brain starts having activity and such. You have a dream. If you can be aware that something is not as it should be, then you know you’re dreaming. If you know, you can think. If you can think, you can rationally separate thinking from whats at some point a made up fantasy, imagination. If you can tell, then you can play, instead of just let you go. And once you play, you want something or someplace and there it is. Is like a rush of thinkings that make you take control.
If your at comfortable position and not waken up externally, you can be there for a while. In fact, sometimes I can be fooled, being there and then finally waking and.. hell, i was dreaming, i’m late!
I am not a master or an expert at the field. I just can talk about my normal experience. If interested, I can talk more.
