the band beirut has inspired me to play the ukulele with more enthusiasm than i lend to most things. i am really fucking excited about learning to play. i’m going to the music shop tomorrow after spending an hour on wikipedia learning about them. did you know there are 4 different kinds?! i did not!

the significance of this goal is so much greater after talking to symmetry today. she’s about to enroll in a school for massage therapy and she’ll be finishing at about the same time as me.

if we can manage to pull this off, in two years, we’ll be in the best financial position ever, with the two of us potentially in well-paying jobs. this is HUGE for us, not just as individuals, but as a family, since money is probably the single biggest factor making this hard right now.

planning is under way, but my fellow avengers are making this very difficult.
