Doing final mixes, then off to mastering, replicating, etc. Feels good to finally have it done right!

Once you write one, you will want to write more!!!
Its a process that can be unpredictable. Some days they seem to fall out of the sky; other times ideas will stew for days, years even, before they come together. Listen to ALL kinds of music, and pay attention to what is going on. What makes that song sound good to you? Is it the performance, the lyrics, the melody?Go to sites like Songramp.com, and listen to people’s ideas, read their suggestions. Be prepared to receive criticism (both good & bad).I also highly recommend the net radio show “The Art of The Song” which interviews songwriters from all walks of life. Finally, remember that you never stop learning. A songwriter of 10 years has as much to learn as the person who has just written their first song. Most of all, be yourself in your song! First and foremost you are writing for you. If others like it, then thats just an added bonus. : )
Its been a long process, but things are starting to gel. Just aquired an excellent drummer, and he’s picking up everything pretty smoothly. This had been quite a daunting project at first, because I have over 12 years worth of material to pick and choose from. Almost have it narrowed down to about 10 to 12 songs, and studio tracking should start within the next 3 months.
