At the end of the fist month of 2012 I owe $17,469. Not a significant decrease but I did pay over a thousand dollars in estimated taxes so it’s a tough month to pay anything more than the minimum. Looking forward to February’s update.

How I did it: By keeping a water bottle on my desk at work and making conscious efforts to drink water when I craved sodas. It takes a while to kick the habit of sweet drinks and to allow your body to enjoy water. Once I started paying attention to how I felt after drinking sodas it became easier to drink more water instead. My fist benchmark is to lose 25 pounds. I started this a couple of weeks ago. Right now I have lost 4.5 pounds in those two weeks. Started video diary and have set Sunday as my review day.
