I set a goal a long time ago to drink more water. Specifically to drink eight glasses of water a day. I still have no idea why this was a difficult goal but I just could reach it. There were days when I would not drink any water and not even realize it until the next day. So I began asking how people did it. I read many suggestions got a water bottle to take to work. I would give myself no other choice and sipped the water while I was working. Then one day I did it. For the first time ever I drank eight glasses of water in a single day. I felt like dancing. My intake of water has increased dramatically and I no longer reach for sodas to “quench my thirst.” So I am marking this completed.

How I did it: By keeping a water bottle on my desk at work and making conscious efforts to drink water when I craved sodas. It takes a while to kick the habit of sweet drinks and to allow your body to enjoy water. Once I started paying attention to how I felt after drinking sodas it became easier to drink more water instead. I began to notice how bloated I felt after I drank the soda and I didn't feel that way when I drank water instead. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I had gotten out of the habit of reading and wanted to make it a priority. I found myself watching stupid programs on the television and becoming more tired and depressed. I set goals for myself. You know the ones like one book a week, or three a month. Then I decided to leave books in locations where I would read them. So I set one on my desk at work to read during my lunch break only, I put one near my bed … Read how I did it…

Okay only three more to go and I can cross this off. Not really sure why I started it but don’t want to just quite for no reason either.
I am sitting at 12 snarfs right now. However, I have plans to snaf a few tomorrow on my day off. I have to make an effort to get a few more snarfs soon so that I am not rushed at the end of the time period.
