Just a little update that the Youtube channel TheriKiNexus is slowly returning to activity.

I must recommend the new videos of Tsu (swanblooded) in particular, which are thoughtful and lucid commentary on the therian experience.

There are really odd occasions (especially at school age) where people are attacked or harassed when they are visibly read as werewolves (or other werecreatures) or as liking werewolves. This can include people who identify as furries, who don’t necessarily identify as otherkin, but still sometimes dress up as animals, or behave in a way most people feel is abnormal. ‘Furry’ has gotten a really bad reputation in the last few years, after all.

This isn’t ‘hunting’ though, and calling it that can hurt you: it takes away from the seriousness of it. What this is is harassment and assault and that is illegal.

If someone attacks or harasses you because you ID as a werewolf, you need to consider telling someone you trust if you’re able! A responsible adult is one of the better options, or if it’s really serious (like being attacked with a knife, or kids throwing rocks at you) then going to the police with a responsible adult is even more important.

It doesn’t matter why they harass or attack you. A responsible, sensible person won’t call YOU crazy, if someone attacks you for being a werewolf. You weren’t doing anything wrong, you were just existing and enjoying life, even if that life is not as usual as most would consider. It’s the other person they will condemn, because there is rarely a good reason to attack another person.

Please be safe. No one here deserves to be harassed for how they express themselves.
