I am in an awful end-of-semester rush and I am afraid that once I format Bestiole (that is the name of my laptop!), I’ll need some pilot I forgot to download or my installation CD won’t work and my computer will not function properly ever after in the most crucial period I need it (which is basically all of the time, coming to think of it).
I know it’s not reasonable. I should format it.

I have been to university for 5 years now, so I am not exactly illiterate (even though, that still remains to be debated) and yet, I feel totally stupid in front of my computer screen, trying to justify my use of qualitative coding.
I hate research right now (maybe I’ll like it better once this whole thing is over).

Waiting at the passport office is just the most “governmental-office-experience” you can get. It was awfully slow (more than 90 minutes to finally get to see the clerk!) and completely packed with people. I had to wait in the corridor (no seats left in the main room) while sitting on the floor (no benches left in the corridor either). You gotta love it (and pay 87$ for it too!).
And then, since my previous passport wasn’t quite expired, the guy at the desk had to cancel it. So my beloved “partner in crime” (ok ok, it’s just a passport, I know!) for all my travelling was stamped “CANCEL” all over it and the corner was cut. But I managed to keep it. So hopefully, there will be as many stamps in my passport to come than in the previous one.
If all my quinquennal plans work out, this will be the last Canadian passport I apply for. Ouh. Kangaroo & Emu, you do look good on a passport.
