Going apple picking and raking leaves. Sweet apple cider and cinnamon donuts. The warm sun on my back, the crisp crunch of leaves underfoot, the smell! A smell unlike any other! The scent of golden leaves burning in the distance mingled with the sweet aroma of pumpkin patches. The feeling that something new is about to begin while something old is still in the air. The sense that the world is closing its eyes, breathing in deep and settling down for a long winter sleep.

How I did it: My friends Megan and Sabrina got piercing the day before, but had a bad experience at the place they went to, Megan's nose was pierced wrong and Sabrina's lip had to be pierced twice. So the next day I was jealous of them for having new piercings so I decided right then and there that I was going to get my lip done. Megan and our friend Jeni went with me (to a different place from where Megan had gone the day before, this one was right do… Read how I did it…
How I did it: My boyfriend and I decided to quit together, for no reason in particular other than we both knew it wasn't good for us. It was really hard at first, especially since I work in a restaurant, but once I got through the first few weeks it became really easy to ignore. Since I've quit my body feels noticeably better! :) Read how I did it…
How I did it: "To thine own self be true,And it must follow, as the night the day,Thou canst not then be false to any man."These immortal words were first spoken by William Shakespeare and have been repeated many times over since. Today, they were spoken by a retiring teacher from my school, Vali Helppie, as she gave the commencement speech at my high school graduation. It was a quote that so perfectly summarized the most important thing I learned in h… Read how I did it…

Considering taking my grandma as a birthday present. She’s always wanted to go on one and she’ll be 74 in December. I think it would be a great experience for us to share. It’s expensive, but I think it’ll be worth it.
The sights, the smells, the tastes! The feeling of being so small and so big at the same time. The sense of being important and the sense of being lost. Never having to worry whether there will be something to do Friday night, because there’s always something to do every night! The greatest city on the Earth – the center of the universe! The place I feel homesick for when I’m at home. New York City, really no explanation necessary but I couldn’t help myself. I LOVE NEW YORK!
