I’ve been working diligently at finding a better balance between my needs and the needs of others; my personal and work lives; and order instead of chaos. Currently, things are going well.
I feel rested and energized. I’m knocking items off my to do lists and spending time reading poetry and relaxing on the swing with a cold brew. I know that I must remain vigilant in my journaling and continue to pay attention to my life.
It is amazing to me how quickly I can spin out of balance. I naturally seem to be drawn to the outer edges of the pendulum swing rather than to the middle. I don’t think this is an awful thing, but it is something I have to pay attention to and try to be proactive rather than a pinball reacting madly to any and every stimulus.
I’d rather not live according to the quote,”I may not walk the straight and narrow, but I try to cross it as often as possible.” I prefer to find a healthy way of being.
It is a good life…
