I don’t know if this really counts as activism, but I raised $215 for Relay for Life in my area, and I volunteered – helping out with the kids activities, in addition to walking.

I’m a little lax in updating, but in the last six month I have conquered two of my big fears. The first fear was flying. I flew once when I was seven, but I barely remember it. In July I had to fly to California. I was so sick all morning. But I did it. That time I had my nephew with me. The next time I had to fly, I flew all by myself – navigated the Atlanta Airport all by myself, and didn’t get sick. Since then I’ve flown several more times. It’s become no big deal.
The second fear that I conquered was having my wisdom teeth removed. I had that done in January. I got put out for it and it was great. Well, not great, but it wasn’t all bad and scary and painful like I thought it would be.
I finally did it! The first part of January I had all four wisdom teeth out. And it didn’t really hurt that bad. Yay! for me.
