My job last summer gave me the impetus I needed to crack open some books and start learning, and in the end I’d built a PHP/JavaScript/MySQL-driven web-based app showing a map of who worked where in the office.

My job last summer gave me the impetus I needed to crack open some books and start learning, and in the end I’d built a PHP/JavaScript/MySQL-driven web-based app showing a map of who worked where in the office.
Everything came together in a few months… I got a little practice amp for free, then a guy at my church offered to let me use his spare bass to learn and play on. He hasn’t asked for it back yet…
Once when I was in Grade 2, the northern lights came out in full force over Toronto, and everyone in my class saw them but me. Finally, about fourteen years later, I saw them at college. I was out there for about two hours! Good times.
