It’s on her list. I smell a road trip to Montreal! Or Toronto.

How I did it: My husband and I did some research and went to Ikea. We brought a skein of yarn just to be safe. We went with the Exepedit shelving system, and things are much happier.I mean, there's still yarn everywhere, but I feel more in charge of it. More importantly, my yarn inspires me. It's like having my own personal LYS to shop from any time I feel like casting something on. Read how I did it…
Ikea to the rescue! We’ve got the shelves, they’re all set up, now to get all of the yarn into it (like with like) before the shelf gets taken over with things that are not yarn. Like cats. And books.
The goal is to have my yarn organized as if it were my own yarn shop. I want to walk into the room, over to the shelf, and be inspired by my yarn the way that I was when I first got it.
I got the 4×4 Expedit (the 5×5 wouldn’t fit in the car) and yes, I will fill it.
I’ve actually done this, but it’s been a while. This is incredibly edifying, and worth doing throughout one’s life. I’ll do it again over the next few days. I’m sure a few things have changed, and a few things never will.
