My son’s first visit to the dentist was successful. Prior to his check-up, we borrowed some books from the library about going to the dentist. He really liked the one titled “Vera Goes To The Dentist”.
I was able to go with him to the exam room, and I had to hold him still in my lap. The dentist took a good look inside his mouth and said he didn’t see any cavities. Hooray!

How I did it: When you travel by bus these days, expect the unexpected. Having a good attitude will help you endure anything. Stay positive and be calm and courteous to those around you. Also, a little preparation never hurts. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I made a commitment to practice each day for at least 15 minutes a day in November 2008. By January 2009, I had formed a habit of daily practice and play anywhere between 15-45 minutes each time. Read how I did it…
A haibun I submitted to the e-zine, Simply Haiku, was published in their Autumn 2006 edition. I’m very pleased to have reached this goal.
Now I need to edit the goal to read, “be paid to have my poetry published” ;)
I’ve had good success finding sea beans this summer. One of the beaches I go to had a bunch of stuff wash up after Tropical Storm Alberto. In addition to hamburger beans I found some sea coconuts, some water hickory pods and a pretty glass cologne bottle.
I love beachcombing!
