If you ignore the bad things that happen or the good things that happen, you are on the verge of becoming delusional, which is where you start creating your own reality. This is dangerous because the world keeps on turning even if you’ve pretended part of it doesn’t exist, and the things you ignore still have an effect on you, and everyone else..

In general lying to yourself has no long term positive effects and only negative effects. The only positive is you pretend to world is how you wish it was. Like an ostrich sticking its head in the sand. If you get mad at some one, and punch them, and then lie to yourself and say they needed to be punched when in reality you just lost your temper, then all you’ve done is make your view of reality a little more flawed.

for these and other reasons I want to always be honest with myself.

I am 21 but have not gone to college. I graduated High school on time. I study and read a lot. I study more now that I am out of school than I did when I was in school. I am not entirely sure why I haven’t gone to college yet.

Partially because I don’t know what exactly I am aiming to get out of it. I learn a lot on my own, and I go at my own speed, and study what I want when I want. I once bought 800 dollars worth of books in a week. I dont want to college so people look at me differently, or so i can say I went to college, or have a masters or bachelors or whatever else. I want to go solely to learn, and also to meet people who have similar interests as myself.

I write a lot and had a blog with quite a few readers, especially considering I didn’t go out of my way to get the readers. I want to create a publically accessible website to store my writing, for others to read and comment on, disagree with, debate, offer and discuss alternatives etc. The biggest things stopping me are my lack of knowledge on how to design and build a website, and the fact that i don’t really have a clear idea of what I need and want my site to consist of. This is a problem I want to solve.
