okay I know that I really need to do this. For me, for grad school… for ME. I also know though that I’m going to go back to school in two days and be incredibly distracted by things other than classes and my goal to reach 4.0. I need a consequence to keep myself in line. Anyone have any suggestions?

I impulsively went from complete meat & dairy consumer to vegan the day my summer camp counselorness ended. I think I was especially provoked to be so drastic after eating what I was forced to eat all summer. BUT, I love it. I hear a lot of I don’t understand why you like this, or I could never do that… really its not that hard. And surprisingly it takes not as much discipline as I anticipated. After I told everyone that I was going vegan and made a big to-do about it, I felt hypocritical even thinking about cheese. Pizza was my biggest craving for a long time, but the cravings die fast. Annnddd you can eat much of the same foods, you just have to prepare them differently. So bring back the pizza. I have so much more energy and focus and health. Health, health, health. I would get really terrible sinus headaches, that have yet to occur once since my new vegan identity. I also only got sick once in half a year (sick was common before; bad sinus infections constantly) which i mostly attribute to finals stressors. Anyways, its amazing… and if you’re thinking about it, totally go for it. Even if short term. I fell in love with the lifestyle though, so my short term is looking a lot longer. That could be a risk :)
