Life would be sweeter if I gave myself more time... 19 months ago

I have an 8 page paper due in…um, about 15 hours and I only have 5, including the bibliography. I’ve had the last week to work on it, but honestly, who wants to spend spring break writing a paper?-Not me!

Anyway, I should be working on this, but I’m going through a little bit of a brain funk right now and am instead posting an entry on 43Things in regards to my procrastination.

Move to Fargo, ND (read all 3 entries…)

So Monday we signed a lease for May 1, on a beautiful 2 bedroom apartment. Lots of light, hardwood falls, and four closets (2 walk-ins), and we get a 2-car garage included in the rent. I’m so excited now, even though I am going to be living in Fargo, which isn’t nearly as cosmopolitan as my beloved Twin Cities. It’s only for 2 years and it will be somewhat of adventure being in a new city.

read the entire Quran

Surahs 15 and 38 21 months ago

I’ve started with surahs 15 and 38. I’ve been having trouble with my translated copy, so I’ve been reading with my boyfriend. He’s pulled out his Arabic Quran and we discuss what we’ve read. We’ve also been using this website, alislam.org- the translation here is much easier to comprehend, it flows much better and it has the verses in English and in Arabic, for anyone interested in a challenge.
