I have been making extra payments whenever I can… My loan started at about $25,000 and I am down to about $4200. My goal is to throw as much money as I can at my loan so that I can start saving for house. The quicker I am out of debt the sooner I can start saving.

How I did it: The only reason I was able to complete this goal is that I am currently living at home. I decided to defer saving everything for a new house and put the majority of my savings towards getting out of debt. Now that my car is finally paid off I can focus on saving for a house. Read how I did it…
I just bought a 2008 Lancer GTS a few weeks ago and it’s a standard transmission. December 15th 2007 was my first day driving a standard transmission. Fortunately one of my friends was kind enough to drive my car home from the dealership and teach me that basics. Before I bought my car I decided to purchase the Logitech G25. The Logitech G25 is a steering wheel, shifter, gas, break and clutch for the computer. I have to admit that playing games with this thing taught me the basics of shifting. The only thing that the Logitech G25 can not teach you is the finesse that is required with the clutch.
As it stands with hills I can do them but If i can avoid it then I try to. Another thing that I find difficult is doing a fast start. As I push down on the gas I release the clutch and the car goes. I just wish I could do it a little faster.
I can not wait to get started. My life is slowly becoming less and less organized. For some reason or another I have recently adopted a new style of organization that has to go. I have for some reason or another decided to organize via piles. Cloths, papers, books, bills, Cd’s and random things are everywhere in piles.
