I want to knit more than scarves and other rectangular objects. I really want to try a sweater for the release party of Tales of Beedle the Bard (new J.K. Rowling book) and I found a seemingly simple pattern in the book Charmed Knits.
Since it’s supposed to be one of the semi-dumpy letter sweaters Mrs. Weasly knits, it won’t matter if it looks slightly off. Yeah I know I’m a huge geek :-p
I’m super excited because I recently discovered a yarn store less than a mile away. Since Michaels didn’t have what I need I thought for sure I’d have to drive all the way to Santa Monica to aquire the goods. Now I can walk! I hope to get the supplies this weekend :-)

I’ve tossed the idea of this around in my mind for awhile and I do think it’s a direction I should be working towards in my life. I went to an acting conservatory for two years and the things I excelled the most in were dance, improv, and stage combat. I love few things more than physical comedy and weapons :-)
I’m rusty in all things physical and know that’ll be my biggest barrier. I injured my back dancing a few years ago and never really got back to what I love. Right now there’s also a cash problem so I can’t really take lessons in the things I want to do.
My mini goals are as follows:
-Learn to surf
-Get back into sword fighting (I can fight with rapier, rapier and dagger, and broadsword)
-Get back into Tai Kwan Do (used to be a greenbelt, haven’t done it in so long I know I’ll have to start over)
-Get certified with firearms again (haven’t used a gun since I was a kid…ah to be from the middle of nowhere :-p)
-Do more yoga
-Train on my Indo Board
-Learn more tricks on my rollerskates, rollerblades, and longboard skateboard.
I eventually want to learn precision driving and wire work. My dream to to legally launch a car into the air.
Me thinks this goal will be the most rewarding and quite possibly take the longest as well.

Getting closer. Booked an AT&T commercial a couple weeks ago. It made me remember how much I love this business. I had an interview with an agent who’s supposed to be good, but due to many reasons I decided not to pursue that relationship. I need to do a mailing to look for a new commercial agent. I’m SAG so right now there’s not much work out there, but I feel I’m at least moving in the right direction.
