Being in a band is like a bad marriage from the start. Sure there are a few bands that stay together for years but 5 years seems to be the maximum. I play keyboards actually (and guitar) and have been trying to put a band together for 2 years. Unbelievable!!! Usually as a keyboard player I never had a problem. I still get a lot of fill in calls and studio work but can’t find people my age that will stay committed. The drama meter just never goes down with musicians I guess. I have been in many bands since I was a teenager and only 2 lasted for the 5 years. Just because a person is in their 50’s doesn’t mean they are dead….

I would love to take a British Typhoon with active guns for a flight over water and take out some boats that are there to be demolished. No real violence, I would just love to have the experience. I am 56 and play the MS Combat Flight simulator about 10 hours a week. Sometimes twice that much, I like MS 3 and IL-2 Sturmovik the best and only at 100% realism. They are not as easy as you might think.
