We’re just over half way with this project (doing it ourselves).
We completely gutted the bathroom so I knew it wouldn’t be done in a weekend, but come on, it’s been a month and we just got the sink and toilet functioning again?
Word to the wise: do NOT start a major home improvement project during hunting season! It’s lucky to get a few hours of attention per week. Now that the floor and plumbing is done by hubby, I’ve been able to get in there and give attention to the walls and floor.
Whew! It’s starting to look like a bathroom again!

How I did it: I'd been driving around with a slow leak in one of my tires for about a month, just filling up with air when I would get gasoline. Then it was getting to need air even between fill-ups so I knew it was time to do something about it. After putting it off and putting it off, I took an hour after work and wham-bam, I've got new tires (good thing too, cause the leaking one had a crack in it from driving on a low tire and could hav… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I had some time off work, so I put myself to work at home. Our bedroom is in the basement, so it felt dingy and cold before. Now it's so much brighter and warm feeling. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Okay, you ready to hear this? I totally...picked up the phone, made an appointment, then...here's the best part, showed up at the salon for my appointment.Yep, pretty tough...but I did it and now hope my experience can help someone else have the courage to tame their wild locks. I don’t know what happens every day, but no matter if I get up earlier, I’m still running 5-10 minutes late. I don’t feel like I get distracted, I do the same routine every day.
I think it may be that when I don’t get up earlier, I know I’m running late and will rush through my shower and other parts of the routine. But if I am up earlier, then I see it as time to slow down.
So instead of getting up just 5-10 mins earlier, I really should make it 20-25 as to not be so rushed and also to be on time.
Aw man…get up earlier? But I love my sleep so much :[
I already had stacks of clothes that I set aside to be donated, but just hadn’t loaded them up and brought them in (for YEARS—this is why I have a ‘stop procrastinating’ goal too). Before I did bring them, I went through my hubby’s and the kid’s clothes and we ended up bringing 7 garbage bags full of stuff to Goodwill. Holy smokes!
And I didn’t even go through the stuff currently in my closet yet…
