It’s worth it in the end, I promise! I find myself cursing at people in French sometimes or mumbling to myself in French and it’s quite funny.
I recommend finding a bunch of French music and listening to it a lot – it really helps train your ears to get used to hearing the language!
French will always be close to my heart, though. If anyone needs any help, feel free to respond!
