I have decided to try to go the next 40 days (starting Wednesday to go along with lent although I am admittedly not a Catholic by practice) without TV. I am optimistic about the positive benefits this will have, giving me more time to pursue a few goals that I haven’t been able to fit in since now (including learning how to play the guitar, do the splits and lose some weight). I am, however, a bit anxious about living in a house with 5 girls who are all fairly avid TV watchers. I have one roommate who jokingly told me that she would break me of this goal. We’ll see, but this is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time and I hope I will be successful. Like some other people, I will still watch DVDs, but not in excess.

How I did it
How I did it: I just bought one, read the directions and stuck to it. I strayed sometimes and went back to tampons when it was more convenient, but I'm now more comfortable with the Diva Cup. Read how I did it…
