We should have a ruling in a few days, or a few weeks at the latest. I’m really proud of myself for standing up for what my son deserves. Maybe now I can afford to put him in swim lessons or actually buy him new clothes instead of waiting for his grandma to give him clothes for his birthday or Christmas.

How I did it: When my ex-husband and I got divorced, I was pretty naive. I didn't get my own lawyer and used... his uncle's law firm. I teach children, I suppose you could say I change their lives every day. I was feeling really unsatisfied with this goal. Then I realized, over the past year, I'… Read how I did it…

Our court hearing is tomorrow… my fingers are crossed that this is the finish line and not just another mirage. What a long road this has been!
coming up at the end of the month. Maybe then, FINALLY after 2 and a half years of working on this, will we start getting our child support.
