compose music
Untitled 5 months ago

The last time I actually composed anything it was for a grade in my Composition class (imagine that) in college. I feel like I should give it a go and see what I can do when I’m not being graded.

A friend of mine from college once gave me the best advice about composing. He was a comp major and I was complaining about the one comp class I had to get through for my degree. I said “I’m no good at composing” and he asked me “well, how often do you compose?” I told him not often and he said “I’m no good at the cello [my primary instrument], but if I practiced I could get better. You’ve got to practice at composition too.”

Smart guy, and one of the best composers I’ve ever met.

tone my stomach
Untitled 7 months ago

I signed up for an 8 week pilates class to help me get started on this. It seems that, just because I put it on my list, my stomach isn’t magically getting toned. Weird. :)
