How I did it: Checked the job postings every single day! Sometimes I was tired after work or are frustrated, but I still checked every day. I probably applied for over 100 jobs and interviewed for at least 20. It was pretty frustrating never getting the job, but I finally got a good one. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I took a 3 day MSF course, and course completion came with a motorcycle certification on my license. It was great, because you get a bunch of coaching, as well as a loner bike and helmet. A bit spendy (my course was $275), but I didn't know anyone else who rode. If you know somebody who rides, see if they will take you to practice in an empty parking lot. Cheaper and less embarrassing when you make a mistakeI also … Read how I did it…
How I did it: Stopping cold turkey is really the only way if you are a big drinker. I used to drink 5 or 6 a day. I've started drinking a lot more water now. Read how I did it…

Okay, clearly the only way this will work for me is to absolutely and totally stop forever. Last one was today April 14, 2009. My one exception will be my rum and cokes (which are more rum than coke).
And this time, I mean it ;)
I don’t know about everyone else, but I feel like I need a couple great things going on in my life before I call people. It feels strange to say you aren’t up to anything special and life is just in a holding pattern. So you don’t talk for months, then you need a good reason that you haven’t talked! Maybe I just need to have a call/e-mail schedule. I think I need to learn to embrace the 7 minute phone call.
