Maybe this will start a chain reaction. 9 months ago

My hope is that by turning in earlier, I will be less tired. And by being less tired, I will drink less coffee. And by drinking less coffee, I will have fewer annoying little health issues. And so on and so on until I am a paragon of good health. Well, sort of.

Day 43: Do one thing differently 9 months ago

I heard the theory that to help break a pattern, it helps to do just one thing differently. Maybe it breaks the momentum of the behavior. Anyway, because evenings can sometimes still be a challenging time to avoid smoking, I’ll be reading instead of watching TV before bed. Who knows, maybe it will work!

Day 42: What I wish I had done 9 months ago

“40 days” is supposedly also a symbol for “a time of trial” and I’d have to agree that the last 42 have been no picnic. One of the things I learned too late: taking away your stress-relieving behavior isn’t a good idea unless you have another one in the wings to take over.
