I had a bit of melasma and also some old brown spots from sun damage. The only thing I can recommend is a product called Meladerm which I bought off the net. It has helped to even out my complexion and lighten the dark spots. I remember when I was researching it I found some reviews from people that said it work for old acne marks. So it might be what you’re looking for.
