How I did it: I did a lot of biking, some running and no swimming. I'm a pretty strong swimmer, so wasn't too worried about it. The transitions were tough - especially the bike to run - your legs feel like they are filled with plaster or lead. I did do some practice transitions before the race. I'd train more next time and be more concerned with time/pace. As it was, it was fun to complete it with a smile. Read how I did it…

I’m really working on this…although this is my first entry on this topic…
I’ve been practising listing 5 things I am grateful for each day. Its been helpful. The other thing I realized, which really isn’t rocket science is that stressing and complaining doesn’t change the reality; re-framing and/or re-directing does. As such, for the next week, I am refraining from complaining…and am instead wrting in a notebook when something confronts me that I would typically complain about; I am writing about what the issue is and how I can actively address it. We’ll see how it goes.

I paid off my highest interst debt in January…my laptop…that sure felt great!
Now I am focussing on my next highest debt – my one lone credit card. I just put my entire tax return (over 1000$) towards it; that took a little convincing/disipline as I really wanted a road bike. In the long run, however, getting rid of this debt will give me greater satisfaction.
Cheers,
L.
