A great start

I love to read. Our home is filled with books, and I’m constantly picking up new titles from friends or from suggestions on various Web sites. But this year I want to commit to reading 50 books that I think will have the biggest impact on me personally and professionally. Most of these are short so that I can actually finish them and digest the information in one week.
Here’s my reading list for January:
1. Love is the Killer App by Tim Sanders.
2. Book Yourself Solid by Michael Port.
3. Ten Zen Seconds by Eric Maisel.
4. Blogwild by Andy Wibbels.

1. The taste of coffee first thing in the morning.
2. The sun sending shadows across my office space.
3. Soreness that comes from a tough workout.
4. My new iMac computer. The huge screen makes doing my job so much easier.
5. My wife. She’s the most amazing person I’ve ever known and everyday with her is a gift.

1. An honest, open and loving conversation with my brilliant wife.
2. A great evening with the kids, playing ball and imagining all sorts of great creatures.
3. The beautiful view of the full moon over downtown Houston.
4. A giant salad for dinner, complete with avocado, bright red peppers, tomatoes, black beans and salsa. Amazingly filling.
5. Hearing my wife laugh at her favorite joke. I absolutely love her laugh, the way it fills our home with joy.
