- sanding down and repainting a mannequin head for my Mom in law – who
makes sheepskin slippers, hats and other nice stuff. She needs the head to be prettified for Monday. - P.D. day for the kids. 2 of them were crazy tired/out of sorts. Managed to keep a level of sanity. That’s my accomplishment. (Autumn seemed so out of sorts, then I noticed her lips were quite swollen. Benadryl. Don’t know what she reacted to though.)

Realizing that the baby of a close friend has not passed. He’s in a poor situation, but possibilities remain. My heart goes out to them. From a posting his brother had, I though they had lost the baby. Unimaginable.
But after a “post random questions” question , I realize both that I’m not succeeding, and that I’m coming from this entirely the wrong way. Even if I thought I was already approaching it the right way. I may have to “improve” my looks. But what I really need to do is let go of the past and embrace all sorts of beauty and confidence from somewhere inside me. The day has been full of all this crap from my past, of my own doing. “You could be pretty if…” from my folks. People simply pointing and laughing when I entered a room. I pulled all of this out. And it needs to be released and go far far away. The wonderful, inspirational things that people have written are really so simple. I’d like to be there someday.
