This past weekend, I had my first of at least three grad school interviews. I was really nervous, but things went well and I had no real reason to worry. I’ll be going on my second interview in about two weeks.

How I did it: Met frequently with my primary advisor to discuss potential committee members. Contacted potential committee members to request their participation on my committee. Had faculty members contact potential committee members on my behalf. Waited for responses. Received responses from the four committee members I chose for myself. I recently received my 2005 income tax return, and I’ll be writing a substantial check to my credit card company. This payment should decrease my credit card debt by just under 25%.
