How I did it: I joined a local bootcamp that meets in a park. I think you have to join something or it will fizzle out. I got a couple of friends involved and made specific days that I would go and not go. Read how I did it…
How I did it: The first thing I did was to determine the place and how much space I would actually have for planting. Then I checked to see exactly what was growing when in my area.I picked out a few things at first, rosemary, tomatoes, eggplant, strawberries and sunflowers for fun. Went hiking down Montezuma’s Well. It was pretty cool with the small housing located in the rock. They had to be small indians to live in there and very agile to get to some of the places. Pretty cool place. Also we to another spot very close by and see some pretty cool hieroglyphics.
Of course….. I need a camera again!! :( But the trip was way awesome!
Ahhhh…. My garden is beautiful and will get more so as the spring/summer continues. The bok choy did well, but was very bitter so… I won’t do that again, until I read up on it more.
The strawberries are coming in good! I have a small green chili developing as well as a very beautiful eggplant that is almost 5 inches!! I have eaten beats and spinach! I have green and yellow squash, water melon, jalapinos, tomatoes, bell peppers, sunflowers, rosemary, chives and leeks growing as well.
I think this will have to be my summer spot and the winter one I will have to try somewhere else.
