I was just considering linking my 43Things list to my Facebook account, but in reading through my goals as well as the goals I’ve accomplished, I think anonymity is better. If people who know me well are reading my list, then I may be more apt to write goals and entries that will cast me in a more favorable - though not necessarily realistic - light. Nah, let’s stay anonymous and real.

Okay, this came and went without me once more. It seems there are always bigger fish to fry during the summer months, and this festival gets pushed to the back burner.
Of the last 4 hives I installed, I lost one in the summer of 2008. Then, I lost the remaining 3 over the winter, which was frustrating, but even very conscientious beekeepers around here lost a lot of hives last winter. So, as of spring of this year, I’ve been bee-less. My plan is to start from scratch in 2010 with ONE hive. I plan to baby that hive, let it grow strong. Then, I’ll begin making splits from it in 2011. I may also buy another swarm or two then. But, the plan is to manage only one hive in 2010. So, this goal may take a while longer than originally planned.
