I have helped teach two beginner classes at Casa Mare last fall. I got to work with a master teacher who works at Kinkaid. I can see a big difference between myself and a pro. I am in there and punching away. I will get better.
Started serious training in 2010 when I could not finish Bike Around the Bay. Got even more serious in February when I added abs/stretching class. Now April 2011, I have lost 60 pounds and getting close to 200 miles a week. Houston Bicycle Club guys who used to regularly drop me are now asking me to slow down especially on the hills. Tuesday and Thursday 6:30 ride: I am no longer being dropped and have made it to the middle of the pack.
