Fund 43 microloans through Kiva.org (read all 19 entries…)
A good first run!

The time has come for now to withdraw our wedding money from Kiva. 179 loans later, we’ve had a chance to make a substantial difference, and I look forward to starting to feed back into Kiva when we’ve had a chance to get our 4-member family finances flowing.

Teach Workshops (read all 8 entries…)
Workshopping aplenty

Facilitation, Consensus, Conflict Resolution, Tarot, Kaballah – I’ve been workshopping up a storm this past year!

I hope to continue to do workshops, but can certainly say I’ve gotten to the point where teaching them is within my comfort zone, and I’ve got a reasonable trickle of folks asking me to teach workshops, or interested in coming any time I teach one.

Some day I hope to include this more as part of how I make my living, but right now I’m loving my other work enough to want to put my focus there instead.

learn to fight with a sword (read all 31 entries…)
Not a master, but a successful Novice

My current life isn’t going to give much room for further swordwork for a while. Looking back though, I’d consider this goal completed though. I’m an adequate fighter with a Longsword, know a few skills with a Rapier, and have had the honour of learning from and fighting some of BC’s finest swordsmen. Many thanks to Fecht Club (Shane & Ben), Academy Duello’s tournaments (SO many skilled, gracious and knowledgeable fighters there willing to help, teach and share their passion for the craft.

Some day I hope to work on my Spanish Rapier and Longsword more, but for now I’ll put down my blade and bring my focus to other goals.
