I’ve been walking a beautiful path every morning at 6 or 6:30 a.m. The neighbors and I have a “doggy parade” with our poochies and very our walk but always try to find new and scenic places to see! We walk the four dogs and four people for at least two miles. This time of morning allows us to get our walk in everyday AND take the doggies before it becomes oppressively hot!
I have been enjoying this morning excursion and plan on finding ways to continue even when the Nebraska temperatures take a tumble and reach the Winter extremes that are so hard to imagine right now!

Just finished up after six years of full-time employment and “part-time” Ph.D. work. Of course, the “part-time” Ph.D. work is only in credit hours. It was very much like TWO full-time occupations. But all’s well that ends well!

I am very picky about planning calendars. I have tried many and they always lack something. I finally gave up on trying to find a commercial one and just made my own. It took some time to get the template made, but now all I have to do is change the dates and add some events and, voila! If I decide I don’t like something about it, I can change it. I can use the calendar electronically (it’s in Word right now) or print it off to carry with me. I always think twice before printing, however! No need to waste paper (aka TREES!).
