Live with Jamie. ♥ (read all 32 entries…)
Waiting.

I’ve had so much to write but not the words to use. Lately I’ve been missing Jamie an awful lot as this has been the longest I have gone without seeing him in almost two years. I think? I hope that he’s going to be coming after my exams and then again for when it’s my birthday. I can’t wait to see him again and it makes me sad that I can’t be with him all the time. I’m scared for my future and I don’t know when I’m going to get to be with him. I know it’s going to be a long time and I don’t want to wait, but I will.
I want to see my Jamie.
I want to live with my Jamie.
I’m sick of feeling sad and lonely.

Survive college v2.0 (read all 53 entries…)
28 down and five to go.

Yet another strangely uneventful week filled with revision, people being idiots, more revision, me getting angry and exam practice. I can’t believe it’s Friday. This week there’s nothing to report except that revision is going well.
I’m freaking out that next week is my last ever ever ever full normal week of full time education ever. It’s really scary yet exciting. Exams start the day I get back and study leave seems weird and confusing so I may mess my timetable up. I need to start keeping tabs on the revision I do but it’s kind of hard now as it’s done a lot at college in my frees (as I have more now) and I’m trying to do short sharp chunks.
Anyhow it’s one week to go until half term and study leave. I am terrified.

Visit 43 UNESCO World Heritage sites. (read all 2 entries…)
Sites I particularly want to visit.

Hiroshima Peace Memorial – Japan.
Events that happened in WW2 have always been devastatingly fascinating to me and in particular the bombings at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I find nuclear weapons both equally intriguing and terrifying and seeing the aftermath of one (the ‘A-Bomb dome’) would be amazing. The Peace Park sounds so beautiful and Hiroshima as a city just seems really cool.

Old City of Jerusalem and its Walls – Jerusalem
For it’s religious aspects I think this would be a super cool place to go to. It’s always been somewhere I’ve wanted to go.

Auschwitz Birkenau – Poland.
Again I’d like to visit this because it’s been a large part of the history I have learned and something I have found incredibly interesting and sad. I don’t think it would be a very nice place to go but somehow that makes it more appealing.

Frontiers of the Roman Empire – United Kingdom.
I’ve been studying Roman Britain this year for my A2 Classics course and Hadrian’s Wall seems so laden with archaeologically interesting things that I really would love to go. Same with the Antonine Wall.

Yellowstone National Park – United States of America.
Volcanic activity is also something that’s really interested me and having been able to visit two volcanoes (Solfatara and Vesuvius) when I went to Naples was super cool. As Yellowstone is so huge and dramatic and has the potential to like, wipe all living beings off of this earth makes it a really appealing place to visit. I know, that sounds weird.

Bikini Atoll Nuclear Test Site – Marshall Islands.
Again nuclear weapons make this place somewhere I want to go. I’m not even sure if it’s a place people can go to… I only read up about this today but I am fascinated. In the Cold War there was a lot of nuclear weapons testing by the US and they kept boats and cars and tanks and even animals on the island to see how they’d react to nuclear bombs and stuff and they kept bombing and bombing and bombing and it sounds so creepy.

Acropolis, Athens ,Archaeological Site of Olympia & Archaeological Site of Delphi – Greece.
Last year I studied Greece and ancient Greek stuff for Classics and it was really interesting and Greece is a place I want to go after learning about all of that stuff. I want to see the places that Homer wrote about in the Odyssey and I want to see Sparta and Athens and Delphi and Olympia and everything.

City of Verona – Italy.
I think the historical parts of Italy are beautiful and fasciating and I’d love to see more and where better to go than the setting of a Shakespeare play?!

Historic Cairo & Memphis and its Necropolis – the Pyramid Fields from Giza to Dahshur – Egypt.
I’ve been to Egypt twice and it’s one of the best places I’ve ever been to. The people are great the weather is interesting and the history is probably the best in the world. I’ve not been to see the Pyramids and other cool things that I learned about last year in archaeology and really I just want to complete my Egypt set.

Cathedral of Notre-Dame, Former Abbey of Saint-Rémi and Palace of Tau, Reims – France.
Again this is somewhere I’ve been wanting to go for a very long time. The first time I ever went to France I asked if we could go but we weren’t anywhere near so sadly I have never been!
