Thing #1: Stargazing

The special thing about stargazing is that it’s just not an easy thing to do anymore. Between lights and pollution, seeing stars is a very rare occasion. I like the feeling of being able to look up and realize that there are countless stars in a sky that goes on forever. It’s mesmerizing, and when you just lay in silence and look up at that pure endlessness, it’s also incredibly peaceful. It’s a feeling I crave pretty much all the time.

Erg, I feel like a jerk. 1 week ago

So today, C was in a wheelchair again, and she passed out and went home early. Some people say she was having a seizure, but I think that was just a rumor. Anyway, this afternoon I realized I forgot my book and needed someone to fax me the pages. Well, for some reason, I instinctively called C, just because she was the first person in my class that came to mind. So I called her, already feeling guilty for forgetting my book in the first place. And then, when I asked her the question, she said that she could fax me the pages, but it might take her a while because she was in bed, and she had to get into her chair, etc.

I honestly couldn’t have felt worse then. And I was sort of in a pickle, because while I didn’t want to give her that stress, I felt like saying something like that would make her feel bad about her condition. So in the end, I made her fax me the assignment, but I feel really bad about the whole thing. I mean, the whole point of this goal is to make her happy, not unreasonably stressed.

Get Over my Fear of Driving: Um, I don’t know. I mean, I can’t even start learning to for another four months, but…

Be OK With Growing Up: Um, I’ve come up with a few more positive things, but toughening up is my main solution.

Eat Healthier: I think I need to keep a log if I’m gonna make any conscious progress, so I’m going to start that tomorrow.

Learn the Hoedown Throwdown Dance: Augh, haven’t done this in a while; maybe I’ll work some more this weekend.

Just talked to her a few hours ago. We kept the conversation light and talked about our weekends, then we virtually-hugged goodnight (we were on AIM). :) I think she appreciates that.

I should re-install my program.

I’m planning to time myself this week and see how many hours it adds up to, then I’ll work on cutting down from that.
