I’ll be graduating with my two-year degree from the local community college in three months, and I’m terrified- I have no idea what comes next. Never in my life have I lived apart from my family; this would be an easy step if I was transferring to a university, but I’ve opted to take some time off to experience. With many appealing ideas a million forces pulling in different directions, how does one bright-eyed 19-year-old follow her gut to an incredible and meaningful future?

Perhaps it’s because I’m young and have yet to learn the value of time. Maybe it has to do with growing up in a slow-moving, thoughtful family. whatever the case, I take my time, and I’m usually apathetic to the thought of being late until it’s guaranteed that I am.
For obvious reasons, this isn’t working out for me. It’s unprofessional and will drag down my grades in school.
My plan: wake up earlier and make sure my clothes for work are ready ahead of time.
