I’m a teaching artist and I’m feeling very dry. When I’m trying to inspire others I just go through the motions I’ve memorized. Having creativity flowing through you is like being in love and while I have the feeling as a memory it has not been freshly working through me for some time now.

If I try to think of the most creative time of my life, I actually think back to high school. I think that is because they were stretching our imagination in so many different directions, and I had several outlets. I remember needing to write almost everyday, and I think that inspired me as an artist.

My thought (and wish) is that if I started writing again, that I would feel the ideas loosen up in my artmaking.
