I began walking this past winter in an effort to lose weight. I’ve been overweight for too long, and I was ready to do something about it. I started out walking a half a mile around our subdivision, and slowly have increased my distance. I now walk at least 3.5 miles every evening, sometimes up to almost 5 miles. A friend of mine goes with me most every night, but I am committed, and push myself to go alone when need be! I have much more energy, have lost a substantial amount of weight and I just generally feel better about myself for sticking to it!!

I’m a snooze button addict that has had a predominately evening schedule for the last decade, but I’m trying hard! I used to sleep till around 2pm after being up till about 6am, but I am slowly training myself to go to bed a little earlier, and get up a little later. Now, I usually am up around 10am, and I’m working on pushing that back even further. If I could just quell that snooze button reflex… ;)
