It’s down to my tailbone! I still haven’t trimmed since June 23 2010, except doing a few microtrims on the fried front bits. I’m really surprised at what good shape my hair is in. I’m taking care of it so differently, lots of TLC and moisture. And ya know what? Even though it’s been over a year since the last trim, I’ve got no split or damaged ends (except those pesky front pieces still trying to grow out the hair dye). I’m amazed. Maybe I’ve just got resilient hair, maybe it’s all in how you take care of it. Probably both. Maybe us girls with “bad hair” just need to learn a thing or two about gentler hair care.

How I did it: My problem was that I was supposed to graduate high school in June 2009, but due to some problems in my personal life, I was unable to finish a required credit on time. It was difficult emotionally, because I was formerly an honor student, and it looked like my only option was a GED. My cousin recommended to me a charter school that normally catered to at-risk students, and took new students up to 21 years of age. I enrolled in Augus… Read how I did it…

I need $3000 and my boyfriend needs $3000, meaning $5000 for the wedding, $1000 for the honeymoon, and rings/the dress on a seperate budget. It seems doable, but we’re full-time college students with one crappy job, clinical hours, and one unemployed. We’re strategizing with a community college and two years. Wish us luck!
I went to an open-house at the college I want to attend, talked to the advisor of the program, and toured the building. Things are looking good and looking up!
