Today I had my ‘lesson’ make over with the lovely Sam at Napoleon Perdis – what fun! She showed me how to use the somewhat scary looking gel eye liner and got me to try it as well… it seems I have ‘the knack’! Yay me! She also managed to make me less afraid about doing my eyebrows (I was always scared that I would make them so dark it would look like there were 2 caterpillars crawling across my forehead!) and contouring my blush.
I was there for around 2 hours and had a ball! I came away with some practical knowledge and some new makeup to play with – eyebrow pencil, eye primer, concealer and a palate with 4 eyeshadows, 4 blushers and 4 lip stains which are all mix and match and can be used interchangeably (blush on eyes, lip stains on cheeks etc) VERY happy with my purchases! ($100 free product… nice!)
The photo is a little misleading I think… for some reason my new camera takes photos which look make faces look paler on the forehead and chin… weird! My skin DOES actually all look the same colour! (except for the contoured cheeks of course!) However, being that it’s around 35 degrees today and after the make over I went to do the grocery shopping, came home and unpacked (slowly, due to my bung shoulder) and had lunch.. THEN I thought to take a photo – I’m a bit shiny!!
So I’m feeling quite goddessy at the moment… even sitting here with my sore neck and shoulder and aching foot waiting for Jeff to come home to see my smoky eyes and contoured cheeks before I clean it all off! Very goddess-like indeed!!
