Nothing is a better teacher than age & experience. I find that the older I get, it’s easier to let go of things and I don’t get hung up on stuff so much. As I get older, I have more confidence in myself and a better sense of self and major and minor set backs don’t impact me as much.
Part of this could be that I’m starting to ask myself – “In the grand scheme of things, how will this impact my life?” and “What can I do about it?”. There is ALWAYS a choice – you can choose to react either positively or negatively and the choice is yours. From disappointments to broken hearts, we humans are resilient creatures, we are stronger than we give ourselves credit for, so it’s time to we show ourselves what we’re made of…

It’s been 2 years since I wrote this entry and so much has happened since then. I moved to Sydney and lived in Manly, a beachside community on the Northern Beaches for a year and lived in a spot so close to the ocean, you could smell the salt in the air and hear waves lapping from the window that brings in the seabreeze. It’s terrific, wonderful and totally unforgetable. I’m not back in the midwest upon the completion of my assignment in Sydney but will never forget what it’s like to be near the ocean. I’m going to move back, soon….

Strange as it seems, I’ve closed this item thinking it’s not worth pursuing and recently had someone kissed me on the dance floor which was quite bizzare. I guess he was caught up in the moment and he thought it was a good time to go in for a “snog”. Needless to say, it was unpleasant and not to mention unwarranted. This is definitely not how I would imagine it, it’s definitely not at all romantic or sexy, but left me with a bad taste in the mouth (pun intended). Picture is not depiction of actual occurence
