I have been sewing for my custom clients for over 20 years, sometimes as a part time job, and for the past 10 years or so, it has been full time.
I am also a dance teacher and performer – started as a hobby, and now it generate at least half of my income.

Find a provincial/state park that has the amenities that are important to you and your group.
Do you need hot showers? Flush toilets? Car access?
beach time? hiking trails?
There is so much info online, it is pretty easy to find a place that can offer the things that will make your trip fun.
Things to think about:
~ziploc type bags are wonderful – for food, snack, books, maps, anything you don’t want to get wet.
~ Use something between the ground and your sleeping bag
~ Be considerate of others if you are in a large campground – your singing may not be as amazing as you believe :-)
- Keep things simple and have fun.
More posts in the future!
I’ve done it all in the past, and have only brief moments of drawing these days. I would love to be in a position to take the time to create some gorgeous pieces – just for me. Or for friends.
Sewing for my main job is a great thing, but usually I am creating someone else’s vision as my work is all custom – bridal/evening/dance.
I have a few pieces that i have done over the years, and would love to do more. Must make the time….
