My daughter is turning out to be such an awesome person. If I were her age I would choose her as a friend. My son could still use some work.

Made reservations, my mom got cancer and we had to cancel – 9 months out. Well, the jerk that we were renting the property from took us for half of what it would have cost us to stay there for two weeks. It makes me not want to go back with people like that there to “welcome” you.
I went with my friend when she saw a psychic and then a few months later my husband’s company had a function with a Mardi Gras theme and there was a tarot reader and a “sensitive” there and they really surprised me with their info.
I’m getting better. Still nap occassionally during the day but I am in bed by 1:00 a.m. usually.
This book, and movie, were a class project for my daughter this year and she loved it so much. She quotes the movie all the time, carries the book with her everywhere and knows everything there is to know about the actors in the movie. Who would have thought?
Through my project to make 1,000 scrapbooks for the campers at Victory Junction Gang Camp (www.victoryjunction.org) I think I have shown more people how to help these kids and I have given not only the 1,000 campers a lifetime of memories to cherish, but all of the people they touch in their lives.
Her family got a camper and we have been camping together three times this summer already plus road trips that didn’t involve camping.
Met Kevin at the Kevin Harvick Fan Club Gathering but didn’t get to meet Delana. She was with her dad who was in the hospital.
I got to help my best friend during the delivery of her second child. I took pictures, videotaped, coached and explained what was going on to the older kids (and troubleshot a nose bleed by one of them).
I got an ankle bracelet tattoo with a “shamrock” charm in February. I will keep adding charms.
I organized an effort to make 1,000 scrapbooks for the campers at Victory Junction Gang Camp and delivered all 20,000 pages to the camp on opening day. I can’t wait to get started next year.
I have had Labradors for six years now (three in all) and they are the best dogs in the world. They are so full of energy and love and they will never, ever fail to cheer you up or protect you.
I know you should want things like this but, good or bad, you have to learn that no one has the power to make another person do, say or feel anything. You need to focus on you. When you are truly happy then others around you will be as well. And no one can make you happy but you.
You will feel physically alive again. It’s the best. Just learn how to temper it because when it ends it can be a huge emotional let down. I’ve done it twice. I failed miserably once and suceeded beyond belief another time.
You don’t need quantity. You need quality. I have been there. I lost my best friend of 10 years over something incredibly stupid. The older I get the better quality my friendships have become. Now in my thirties the friends I have are friends I will have for a lifetime. I can count my best ones on one hand but it’s better than having too many and not ONE you can count on.
I did this two years ago with my husband and two kids. We had the best guide and he let my kids help paddle and let them out of the boat into the water in the calm areas. I am afraid of water and afraid of drowning but this was SOOO worth it. I live near West Virginia and need to raft there but you should definitely raft the Arkansas River out of Canyon City, Colorado, going under the Royal Gorge Bridge.
My mother and father owned a restaurant. However, I was never allowed in “her” kitchen. Therefore, when I married I couldn’t even boil an egg.
For adults the best cookbook I have ever used is the Betty Crocker Best of Baking (learn how to make the Parker House rolls and everyone will adore you). The Maple Pecan Cake is to die for as well (add a little syrup into the batter though).
For Kids, American Girl has a great cookbook – this is also great for remedial cooks – it actually tells you how to boil and egg (I used it once).
I majored in Journalism and had to take a photography class. We were taught to take lots of pictures to get just one good one. It’s true and with the advent of digital cameras you can “take more chances” and get the shots of the everyday you might not have taken before.
Take pictures of things that are important even if it seems weird. I took a picture of me and my dad before his heart surgery in his hospital room (it is my mom’s favorite picture of us), one of him in a cute surgical cap with clouds on it after he was sedated and these are the last pictures I have of him the way I remember him before he passed away. I then took a picture of him in his casket with my mother and included it in a scrapbook I made for her anniversary with pictures of them from their dating days, through 55 years of marriage and finally at the funeral home. I think it has helped her to have closure but enjoy looking back.
I started writing in 5th grade, did the high school yearbook, was Sports Editor, Managing Editor and Editor-in-Chief for my college newspaper and went on to work for our local paper writing sports. However, my goal is to publish a book – preferably a True Crime Novel.
