I’ve been studying French for 4 years now. Getting gradually better but it does feel like moving mountain sometimes. I try and keep up by always reading something in French every day such as on-line French newspapers (Metro is my favourite), parallel texts or other books. I say I have 6 years to go as I believe it will take 10 years to get to a level I am comfortable with.
