Only spotted it by accident but one of my photos made it Explore. It has been in and out a couple of times since I posted it on Friday evening but it was there and I’ve the Scout ‘poster’ to prove it.
I know, I know, I shouldn’t take it that seriously but it was kinda pleasing :O)

I hate standing up in front of a large group and having to do ‘death by powerpoint’!
Sadly, as part of my job I am expected to do this routinely to groups of between 50-300 people. I almost feel sorrier for them than me.
It isn’t like being a lecturer, which I didn’t have a problem with. I am fine with smaller groups or where it is less formal.
Any tips for making it less of a torture, for me and the audience, gratefully received.
Thanks in advance.

I’d like to get more comments on flickr for the photos I take. I’d like to take some stunning photographs.
I’d like eventually to be able to sell prints of my photographs.
Some easy (!) steps:
keep practising what I’ve learned on my course
make maximum use of the camera and lens I’ve got – find out what I can really do with them.
take every opportunity to take an interesting photograph, don’t feel embarrassed at whipping out a camera wherever I am.
taking a fantastic shot and posting it to flickr and it making it to Explore
making maximum use of tags on my photos so people can find them
consider joining a photo club of some kind (online?) so I can get some constructive critique
consider showing prints at amateur gallery opportunities
look into selling photos to stock galleries
talk to the professional photographers where I work and get tips
(alternatively, enjoy the hobby for me and my family and stick to the day job!)
