OK, I’ve nearly made it through day 1. I took the lax tea last night to prepare and had the SWF this morning – did it with cold water and it went down alright.
I had about 6 glasses of lemonade today and felt fine for most of it as it is rainy here and I have a short break from school so I stayed in my jammies all day long. I was fine until a couple of hours ago when a bad headache, nausea and lightheadedness kicked in. I couldn’t tell if this was the actual effect of the cleanse itself (it’s only Day 1 for me) or if it was just due to not having any solid food all day long.
I went to the grocery and bought some tummy tamer tea that REALLY helped and now I’m just resting and watching a movie. I don’t think I’ll do another round of lemonade tonight as I am feeling pretty full from my tea (I’m also feeling a little too lazy to start squeezing lemons and mixing up the concoction). I will have the lax tea before bed and hopefully get a good night’s rest. be well, all!
So…I’ve always toyed with the notion of taking on the MC but have never been able to fully commit. I’ve taken one whack at this and sadly, didn’t last more than a couple of days.
Having had a lifetime of medical troubles and currently in grad school (which is wrecking my emotional AND physical state), I’m ready to cast aside all the punishment I’ve put on my body via crappy food and little-to-no exercise.
A lot of folks take on the MC to lose weight and from what I understand, most of the weight that DOES come off is water weight. I’m doing this to mark the beginning of a healthy new lifestyle (one for which I have had waaaaaaay too many false starts). Following the completion of the MC, I’m going to start up with the Jillian Michaels Making the Cut program (of Biggest Loser fame). I figure if I can flush my body of most of the toxic crap, then I have a better chance at starting fresh when it really counts.
I know that I have a lot of challenges with the MC and the overall getting healthy plan.
- I’m in summer school (waaaay intense because this is grad school, baby…no whimps or whiners allowed!)
- I’ve had some major medical problems (one in particular which is creating a lot of physical pain for me at present)
- Family will be traveling in and out this summer so I need to resist temptation because we ALL use food for entertainment and emotional purposes.
Well, I’m sipping my cup of Smooth Move (which is pretty tasty!) and headed to bed. Wish me luck and send along any suggestions you have for success!
