I just took up writing in cursive some two years ago. SO far so good, though I’m having difficulty making my J’s, I’s, and F’s look different from each other.

How about hybrid diary writing? Once, in a group of 10 chatting after lunch:
me: (to FJ) Oh by the way FJ, I brought home your luggage bag. It’s upstairs now.
RG: Hmm… so what do you want FJ to say to you?
me: Uhmm… Thank you?
