Today I felt *Loved* ~

when three different students brought me paragraphs they had written about me….

The assignment was to

1) draw a heart on the middle of a piece of paper

2) think of someone you love or admire…and then write the qualities that person possess down inside the heart

3) then I had students volunteer to share out what they had written on their papers

4) I then shared with the students that the very qualities they had written down on the paper were qualities they also possessed within themselves…
(they were so cute…and happy when I shared that with them…)

5) next, ~ you know it is school…so I had them write a paragraph about the person they admired…using the words on their ‘heart’ as a brainstorming web…

6) finally, I was going to collect the papers, but then I thought how nice it would be for them to just go ahead and give them to the people they had written about (they were really sweet!) The students were happy…..

7) three students came and gave ME their paragraphs… it was so, so touching… I felt very touched and loved by what they wrote…very sweet!

Friday 4:27 p.m.

Today I am grateful for

1) a great week with my students…. we got most of our work finished…including our next batch of pen pal letters…ready to go!

2) walking at work each day this week…yeah for me!!!

3) my cute panties…I love them (sorry…but it’s true.. this morning I was thinking…”I am so grateful for these!) :)

4) getting all my laundry done BEFORE work this morning… Now..I do not have to do it this weekend…AWESOME!

5) for plans over the weekend to see my sister and do some self care and catch up with other “stuff” too!!!

6) a three day weekend for this weekend & the next ~ YEAHHHH!!!!!

Today I am grateful for

1) having a place and a habit to reflect on 5 things that I am grateful for each day ~ I think it helps me a lot….

2) making it through the day today at work…I felt very nauseous suddenly in the morning and pushed through the day…glad to be home now…resting

3) talking with B. for a long time today

4) new Nike walking/running shoes & a pair of new New Balance shoes too…(total New Balance addiction…they are soooo cute!)

5) my students making me laugh in class…they crack me up!
