Back in high school, one of my friends was running an early version of Windows 98, with a three-button mouse bound to launch Explorer, and a screensaver password.
Well, I once sat there looking at the screensaver and hitting the middle mouse button over and over, wishing I could use his computer. Sure enough, all the Explorer windows eventually crashed the screen saver, and I got in! It was quite triumphant.

I monitor the “new goals” RSS feed to try to catch them early. Any other ideas?

I would prefer to select “worth doing” without the exclamation point, because I think this is a close call. The trick is getting the money, not having it as the goal says, and in my case that has meant endless mindless hours of corporate servitude.
However, I do recognize that I am comparatively fortunate to actually get something in exchange for my servitude, and it is comforting to know that my savings could cover most emergencies or eventually provide me with an early retirement.
